As 2017 wraps up we would like to say goodbye to Rob Stroud, our Laos In-country Manager for the last two-and-a-half years.

Rob has a rare mix of hard and soft skills. His expertise and well-rounded background in the technical aspects of WASH as well as in anthropology from higher degrees has allowed him to function very effectively in the Lao environment.

His energetic and determined efforts are applauded not only by Abundant Water but also by the people who have benefited through his work. During his time with us Rob has streamlined filter production and manufacture, and held a pivotal role in the development and maturation of our social business model, which is now being rolled out in countries outside of Laos.

He will be missed by our Lao staff and all the volunteers and board members who have interacted with him during his time with us. We have no doubt that he will raise as many smiles as he did with us and we look forward to continuing the relationship going forward and working together again in the future.
