A Team of Champions⚽ - June 2026
This month, millions of people are following the FIFA World Cup. While the focus is on the athletes, the star players, every major event like this depends on countless people working behind the scenes - fans, volunteers, organisers all playing their part.
Creating lasting access to safe drinking water works the same way: Abundant Water volunteers work alongside local entrepreneurs, schools and communities to distribute practical and sustainable clean water solutions. Not forgetting donors: their support is what allows us to reach remote communities, train vendors, support teachers and ensure that safe water access can continue to improve. You can Donate Here and any amount counts to support the team!
This month, we wanted to introduce you to two of our local champions in Timor Leste.
Champion 1 - Olandino Pereira 🏅
Olandino is our Business Development Manager in Timor. He is experienced in business development, sales and marketing, having previously worked for phone, beverage and print marketing companies in Timor-Leste. He has previously worked closely with small retailers in rural areas to improve their businesses by enhancing their community engagement focus to ensure greater product consumption and loyalty.
Champion 2 - Libania Freitas 🏆
Libania is our Timor Finance & Sales Officer. She is from Baucau and she joined Abundant Water in February 2023 as a Network Officer. Libania had previously worked as a phone sales representative at VIVO Company, having completed her studies in Business at IOB University in Dili. About her role she says: "I'm proud to help people by improving the quality of their drinking water, and helping vendors to earn an income from selling the filters".
Abundant Water, an Australian volunteer-led organisation, is taking action, now. Our work is already making a tangible difference in Timor-Leste, the Philippines, and Laos. But we need your help to go further, faster. Even the smallest contribution can mean clean water, better health, and renewed hope for families in need.
Act now - Because clean water can’t wait
