Our COVID-19 Response

During this unprecedented time, the Abundant Water team is continuing to bring clean water to communities in Laos and Timor-Leste.

Over the last month, Abundant Water has acted on specific plans and processes put in place to address large-scale disruptions, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. These have placed the health of our staff and volunteers at the forefront of our response and now means that our work is continuing in accordance with isolation and social-distancing guidelines. For more than a decade, Abundant Water has been working online whilst maintaining connection to the field, and while others may find the current circumstances challenging, this preparation has put the organisation in a favourable position for the months to come.

Although the pandemic has been a disruption to some of our on-ground operations, we continue to conduct monitoring and evaluation of our programs through previously established communication networks based on each local setting. In doing so, the team will be best-placed to continue the rollout of filter installations when operations return to normal.

As the situation continues to evolve, Abundant Water will ensure contact is maintained with its partners and staff to safeguard our current projects and the sustainability of our social business.

Abundant Water would like to thank each and every one of our supporters during this challenging time, and look forward to continuing to work with our partners in this new and evolving environment.
